We live in Concord, NC so when we brought Quinton home from Ukraine we flew right into Charlotte. It was awful! We got through customs in 30 minutes but then we had to sit in that little room and wait on his passport/visa for nearly 2 hours. I knew we were in trouble when I walked in and saw the looks on the other peoples&#39; faces. We watched airport staff come in telling person after person that they would miss their connecting flight and had to go get new tickets. I finally got up and asked one of the staff to go tell our family that we were here. I played the pity card and told them we had been traveling for over 20 hours with a special needs child who hadn&#39;t eaten in almost a day. They guy felt bad and pulled our paperwork and got us out right away :) All that said-I swear if we ever do it again, I will avoid Charlotte too. I would take another connecting flight to anywhere else and then fly domestic into Charlotte.
